B B B Beeeeees game!

This was one of the most fun nights I've had all summer! The bees game was so relaxing and fun! sitting on the grass behind the diamond is just so fun because you can see everything that's going on and all the homerun balls threaten to hit you in the head. I'm serious it's kind of intense sometimes, like people screaming and running for cover. The weather was perfect, company superb and ice cream, HEAVEN!

To anyone who's never been before: The Strawberries and Creme are AMAZING! and only $1.25! I recommend eating at least two cups!

THE CUZ BUZZ

So here is the much awaited for CUZ PARTY! It was held at the McClellan's home in Lehi. It was so fun to have a bunch of the cousins get together without our CRAZY moms stealing the show! :) Nope, sorry! Crazy Aunt Rosie wasn't there with her wind up disposable camera that is NEVER ready when she wants to snap a picture. But there was all of us silly girls with our digital cameras snapping away so our moms must have taught us a thing or two! Thanks to all who came! The food was Fantastic! That must be another thing we learned from the older generation.

"God is in the Details"

Really and Truly my favorite part of my ward's trip to the Manti Pageant was the opportunity I took to walk around the Temple grounds and look at all the wonderful details of the Temple. As many of you know I'm an art history nerd and so I can't help but be amazed at the what these early Mormon pioneers accomplished. We know that missionaries were sent to Europe to study architecture and art in order to create these beautiful edifices in the middle of the desert. The European influence is very evident in the Manti Temple.

My friend Caranine described on her blog the following experience: "Walking around with Maggie was especially fun, because we have both studied art history extensively. So we were identifying the architectural influences and using haughty, snotty, artsy words like "Mansard roof", "facade", and "battlements" to our hearts' content- and actually understanding each other."

When I read that I cracked up because it was so true and I loved every minute of it! There are very few people in my life that I can have those conversations with!

Now I understand what the appeal of the Manti Temple is! It is awesome!

Every time Bremen comes over to Jordan's house, Cameron runs right up to him and asks Bremen to draw him a new cartoon character. Today it was Spiderman. Cameron always wears the shirt of the guy he wants drawn and tells Bremen, "Will you draw me?" Cameron cherishes the pictures! He colors them and then hangs them up!

Summer has begun!

Friday night was the Gallery stroll in downtown Provo. I've always wanted to go, and this time I felt no time pressures so I called up some friends and headed down there! I'd like to consider this evening the official beginning of my summer because it was so fun! I love being in an atmosphere where people are out and milling around and talking and interacting and meeting new people! I think every town should have activities that bring people OUT! The gallery stroll is every first friday of the the month and all the cute little galleries and artsy stores open their doors, serve refreshments, and let you look at all the art that is for sale. Most of what I saw was very abstract, creative, and whimsical. I think my favorites were what was up at the Sego Art Center on University Ave. I also liked the creativity of the show at Gallery One Ten. I loved the funky trends at Coal Umbrella and the fashions at the Mode Boutique. It was fun to look at art, run in to friends, and stand by the street pit fires and roast marshmallows. reflections of a slumber party...

Dear Holly, Sheryl, and Alisa,

I LOVE you girls! I am truly grateful for our friendship. The conversations that we had last night were hilarious, inspiring, and uplifting. I felt so loved and appreciated by you girls and the thoughtful things you had to say about me last night. I want you to know that I meant every word I said about each of you and all the things I admire about you. You three are such wonderful women- so full of righteousness, poise, and virtue.

Alisa- I truly feel like Heavenly Father put you in my life to bring me happiness and to give me an example of what to aspire to.

Holly- I'm so grateful you were the first new friend I made home from the mission during that oh so difficult time of readjusting to life. You've continued to strengthen me ever since!

Sheryl- Living with you in the Yellow House was one of the craziest and most fun times I've ever had. I've loved talking with you about life. Thanks for picking me up that day ;)

We've really only known each other together as the four of us for less than two years, so I know we still have different groups of friends, best friends even, (like Sheryl's "best friend from VA, or best friend from freshman year, or best friend from the mission, etc.") but I want you three to know that I consider you my best friends and the highlight of my post-mission and BYU life! I love you girls so much!
