10 Things Monthly Challenge: February

A nagging cold is keeping me home today. I'm grateful for sick days! Actually, I got up and dressed this morning, but while I was sniffling and sneezing through my morning routine, I thought, "Why am I doing this?" I have a ton of sick days stacked up that I never use, and it's days like today that I'm entitled to use them. So here I lie, though I can't seem to do any of the things I need to do, i.e. study for my comprehensive exam that I'm taking in 7 days or my Relief Society lesson I'm teaching on Sunday.

Here's a terrible picture of the 10 things I'm getting rid of in February.

1. Old burned CDs - recycle
2. Clothing fragment - trash
3. Book - recycle
4. Coin purse - donate
5. Old AAM membership card - recycle
6. Christmas cards - recycle
7. Shirt - trash
8. Gift wrap/ribbons - donate
9. Tights - trash
10. Socks - trash

Happy February! I think of this month as winter's final grasp (at least on the east coast), with hearts, red, sparkle, and pink warming up the cold patches. I adore Valentine's Day and 3-day weekends, so good things definitely lie ahead.

My playlist this month draws inspiration from rockers of decades past. It keeps an edge, but definitely highlights the softer, more sentimental feelings only appropriate for Valentine's Day. Of course there's a touch of the irrational, also only appropriate for the love sick! Enjoy on Spotify.

I've featured one essential song not found on spotify below:
